What is st cloud norsemen?

St. Cloud Norsemen is a junior ice hockey team based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, USA. The team was founded in 2020 and competes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) as a member of the Central Division. The Norsemen play their home games at the Municipal Athletic Complex (MAC) in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

As the team name suggests, St. Cloud Norsemen draws inspiration from Norse mythology, reflecting the region's Scandinavian heritage. The team's logo features a Viking man wearing a helmet and a fur coat, wielding a hockey stick.

St. Cloud Norsemen replaced the St. Cloud Blizzard, which was a member of the NAHL since 2018 but relocated to Mason City, Iowa, in 2020. The Norsemen bid farewell to the Blizzard with a tribute video that highlighted the team's brief but memorable history in St. Cloud.

In their inaugural season, St. Cloud Norsemen had a difficult start, winning only three of their first 23 games. However, the team bounced back in the second half of the season, winning 11 of its last 18 games and finishing strong. The Norsemen continue to build their team and develop young players, hoping to make a bigger impact in future seasons.
